I leave on Monday the 20th of April to go back to the Philippines! This is bitter sweet because I will be leaving Hawaii, (and I don't know when I will return.) I am so excited to be back in the Philippines this time with all the Ministry Staff of Holo Holo Ministries! I will explain more about what we will be doing in the Philippines and what I have been doing since being in Hawaii. I have actually only been back in Hawaii 8 weeks since I left Thailand! I have grown so much in this time and learnt so much more than I could have ever hoped or imagined possible! I know I am exactly where God wants me to be right now and have this overwhelming peace.
I have just finished 6 intense weeks of lectures and teaching as well as practical things to learn from. This school involved all of us students also leading the school. This may sound really weird but it has worked really well for me as I learn best by doing! We looked after our speakers with getting them food and drinks, we did our student food/snacks, led worship, intercession, led meetings, planned to build a gym and started planning our Outreach! I know I haven't included everything I have done in that list but just wanted to give you a better idea! We have had so many different teaching topics but some that I have really appreciated and learnt from where.... Servant Leadership, Walking in our true Identity, How to be a Fundraiser, Transnational vs Transformational, Different types of Leadership, What are our Passions, Different Strengths, What are our Core Belief's? and so many more topics. I really have learnt an amazing amount and it changes the way I will lead and view leadership.
So Monday I leave for the Philippines. After learning so much here I will be going to apply a lot of what I learnt! Once I leave Hawaii after the LONG journey I am pretty busy from the moment we land. I look forward to going back and meeting all the people I worked with in the Philippines last year! I am helping to run a camp in the Philippines which will be just under a week! We don't have all the money to run it yet but we have faith that the Lord will provide! We have a survivor theme, this means we can only survive in life if we surrender our lives to God and don't try to survive on our own! I helped run last years camp Oasis and and learnt so much during that time. We saw soooo many young people come to salvation during those few days and I'm excited for this years camp! We are also running a Leadership Seminar Monday-Saturday! I cannot wait to help run a Seminar in the Philippines as this will be a first for me. I am doing a lot of teaching during this time. I added up my time slots and it could be around 10 hours of teaching over 3 days! God is definitely pushing me to go deeper and grow in confidence with Christ. The students I did the Seminar in Hawaii with, the Camp and Seminar in the Philippines, will all be leaving after a month, and returning back to Hawaii! I, however am planning to stay on at the Naga Base in the Philippines for an extra month. I really want to help on the base by supporting them and learning from them. I also would really like to follow up with some of the people who attend the Camp and Seminar. I really would love to build better relationships when I'm there. I want to help encourage and strengthen their relationships with the Lord! I am so excited to be able to work with the Street Kids again and to also see some of the friends I made during the last camp. Whats after that?
I come back to England end of June!!!! I have posted my stuff from Hawaii to England already and packed a small bag to take to the Philippines. I am excited to go home and to see all my amazing friends, family and ministry, who have supported me so well during this time. I don't know how long I will be home for but I know my heart is in missions and that it is going to be a lifestyle. I will never be able to think or live my life the same after all of these life changing experiences! I just want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who have supported me financially and, or through prayer during my time away with YWAM..... Thank you so, so, much!!! Please continue to pray for this outreach.
